Black Girls Code launched a new initiative, Beyond Code Collective, and needed a micro site for it.
Their existing site read like a brochure. Safe, generic, the visual language of an organisation asking to be supported. Nothing in it suggested what they actually are, which is a group building the technical future of the people the industry keeps leaving out.
So the page goes the other way. Deep colour gradients, editorial imagery, type at scale, and micro-animations that show up as you move through it.
The deadline was tight and the team was under pressure. I handed off build-ready files and worked with the dev team through implementation. The site was delivered on time.
